There are a couple shawl designs I have been working on and began knitting one this afternoon.  I am using a lovely Eyre Light from Madelinetosh in Envy.  It is worked from the top down as a crescent shape, primarily knit in garter stitch with a lace border along the bottom.

Some of the other designs I have planned involve:

1.) combining multiple colors

2.) merging different lace patterns together

3.) creating asymmetric designs
